Q1) Trouble opening/downloading *.pdf (Acrobat) files from
web site.
A1) First check to see if you
have a portable document file (*.pdf) reader software program
installed on your computer.
If not, you will need to install
this program before you can download *.pdf files from the
internet. The most popular program is Adobe Acrobat Reader.
This is a free program from Adobe's web site (www.adobe.com).
All of our forms are created with Adobe Acrobat 5.0. These
files should be compatible with Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0 to
5.0.
After downloading Acrobat Reader, you will need to
install it onto your computer. Just follow the instructions
given on Adobe's web site.
This should enable you to read any protable document file
(pdf) on any web site. Even if you think you have Adobe
Acrobat already on your computer, downloading the latest
version usually fixes any trouble that might be
occuring.

Q2) Files with *.pdf extensions (Acrobat) open, but can't
read characters or fonts on screen. "Looks like a foreign
language".
A2) This might be because the pdf reader does not support the
fonts used in the file or the version is incompatable.
As
with question 1, downloading the latest version of Adobe
Acrobat Reader usually corrects these problems.
All the forms used on this web site are saved as Acrobat
version 3.0. But using version 4.0 or 5.0 gives better
results.

Q3) Printing *.pdf files from internet browser. "Prints out
blank paper".
A3) In order to print Acrobat files (*.pdf) while viewing
with your internet browser (IE, Netscape), you will need to
select the print icon from within the Acrobat window. You
should not use the internet browser Print function.

Q4) I'm told the information is on the web site, but I can't
find it. Or, the link is not working, but I'm told it works
for other users.
A4) This may be due to the way the internet browser is set
up. Browsers can store web pages in memory called cache. This
speeds up the access time by only updating the web page
occasionally. Checking the browsers setting to assure the
cache is updated every time the page is visited, or atleast
once per session may correct this issue.
For Microsoft
Internet Explorer this can be found in the
Options/Preferences menu. Under Advanced category the Cache
settings can be found. They should be set to Always, or Once
Per Session.
