P2O is in the new Pano
Mid-Ohio Region Porsche Club was recently recognized in a major article in the March 2008 edition of Pano for their support of Porsches2Oxford. Written by PCA National President Prescott Kelly (who, with his wife Pam, traveled all the way from Connecticut to attend); Prescott pointed out many of the factors that help make P2O a success.
P2O Co-Chairperson Brice Kadel said, “Prescott did us a real favor with his recent article -- writing that “Porsches2Oxford is a relaxed, low key event that has become one of the premier Porsche car shows in the country”. We’ve always been unsuccessful in getting Pano to publish an article, so this is a big shot in the arm for the event.” With the help of this national coverage in Pano, P2O expects to attract over 300 Porsches to the quaint brick streets of uptown Oxford on Saturday, July 26th.
In 2007, over 250 shiny Porsches attended from 14 states and Canada – representing over 20 different PCA clubs. This year prizes will again be providing awards to the top 35 vote-getting cars in the “People’s Choice Car Show”, and over $3000 worth of great door prizes will be given away. Read More...

Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team finishes second in GAINSCO Grand Prix of Miami
HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team drivers Bill Auberlen and Joey Hand earned a well-fought second place finish in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16 Round Two race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, as part of the GAINSCO Grand Prix of Miami.
Starting from the inside of row four in the No. 23 Ruby Tuesday Championship Racing Team Porsche-powered Crawford Daytona Prototype, Auberlen quickly took the strategy of letting the race come to him instead of being too aggressive early in the race. This race strategy came to fruition, as the defending race winner had to deal with five full course cautions during his 45-lap stint. During this time, he moved from seventh to fifth by lap 22.
